- Beaufighter and Mosquito aircraft of the Dominican Republic attacked the remaining elements of a failed Guatemalan invasion force, strafing a PBY Catalina aircraft, with fifteen soldiers aboard, which had been forced down offshore during the previous days fighting. ww2dbase [AC]
