Info above photo: One of two G4M1's at Ie-Shima, August 1945, that brought the Japanese surrender delegation. Aircraft were painted over-all white in color, and green surrender cross marked on wings,fuselage and tail.

Info above photo: On 19 August 1945 four days after the end of hostilities, two all-white "betty bomber's" G4M1 Model 11 bearing green surrender crosses flew to Ie-Shima with the Japanese surrender delegation led by Liet-General Torashiro Kawabe
