The gullies are mapped in Jason Mark's book "Island of Fire." The nearer gully is labeled "Bajonett-Rachel (Bayonet Gully)"; the other is "Bandwurm-Rachel (Tapeworm Gully) or Brotfabrik-Rachel (Bread Factory Gully)"--in Russian: Ovrag Glubokaya (Deep Gully) or Logovom Smerti (Gully of Death)."

This is looking northeast. Some of the buildings of the Red October factory are at lower right. The Volga is at the far upper right, with two gullies feeding into it.
