AXIS SUBMARINES:
Craft is a Neger one man boat and was armed to carry 1 x G7e torpedo. The pilot had very simple controls, the Neger had slow speed and limited range The weapon best operated in clear weather and calm sea.
WWII was reaching its end, and in spite of limitations of materials and number of boats built the Neger crews suffered high losses for limited targets sunk.
NOT SO SECRET A WEAPON:
The Neger was intended to attack slow moving or stationary targets. it had to be launched from secure locations from enemy attack. Battery had limited range. loading its torpedo required shore crews, lifting crane's that were both stationary and mobile.
