Joseph Eskenazi honored at US National World War II Museum
Joseph Eskenazi, a US Army veteran of the Japanese raid on Pearl Harbor, was honored at the National World War II Museum in New Orleans, Louisiana, United States on 11 Jan 2023 as the oldest survivor of the attack. He was at the Schofield Barracks when the attack took place, and risked being strafed as he drove a bulldozer across barracks grounds for the purpose of clearing wrecks off of the runways. Eskenazi is to celebrate his 105th birthday on 30 Jan 2023.
