ww2dbaseThe German Navy signed a contract with the shipbuilding firm H. C. Stülcken Sohn to build four fast escort ships in Nov 1938. Some work for G2 began in late 1942, but the entire fast escort ship program was canceled in May 1943. The incomplete G2 was destroyed on the slip during the British air raid of 27 Jul 1943.
